Our involvement in the Global Psychedelic Survey 2025 (GPS2025) began through our colleague Dimitris Repantis, who is one of the PsyTrans project partners. Through this connection, Karen Yan and Christina Ni joined as the Taiwan collaborating team, extending the project’s reach across both regions.
Led by the Michigan Psychedelic Center, GPS2025 follows an earlier 2023 survey with 6,000 participants. This time, it’s offered in 18 languages, opening the door to voices from many cultural backgrounds.
The Survey explores how people use psychedelics across different cultures and ask how these patterns might mean for policy and harm reduction strategies. By reaching beyond predominantly English-speaking and Western populations, GPS2025 seeks to capture a more diverse set of perspectives.
Together, our Taiwan and Germany teams contribute by:
- Translating and adapting the survey for local contexts
- Reaching participants and ensuring cultural relevance
Through this effort, perspectives from Taiwan and Germany join the global dialogue, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of psychedelic use in different societies. We look forward to sharing updates and outcomes as they become available.
